Replacing a Mach 2 with a Mach 3
Sunday, 12 August 2018  |  Kevin

The control box on my hot tub failed and the Mach 2 is no longer available so I bought the Mach 3. It has now been installed and is working perfectly. However be warned. The Mach 3 box does not align with the pipes by a good centimetre. The depth of the box has been changed to be deeper and the design change sets the heater forward about a centimetre. I had to cut a hole in the hot tub wall so that the Mach 3 sat further into its enclosure and aligning the heater properly with the existing pipes. The hole process of emptying the tub, carrying out the modifications and wiring in the control box, then refilling and switching on took me about three hours. Nice Saturday morning project.

I would give the product and HottubDIYs service a 5 star rating but knocked a star off for Balboa not considering the consequences of their design change .

Exactly the part I wanted but expensive!
Sunday, 29 July 2018  |  David

Pleased that Hot Tub DIY were able to supply the exact part required; that of a dual speed pump for my Hot Tub but was not happy to pay the 453 odd pounds for it. Searched elsewhere but could not improve on the price - someone is making a lot of money!
Once fitted it ran perfectly. Unfortunately when replacing it I disturbed the seals on the heater which leaked. I referred to Hot Tub DIY who swiftly informed me of the parts need with price and I am now awaiting delivery of them. No complaints with the service just the pump price.

Hot Tub Jets

One of the essential parts of a hot tub are the jets. Basically, this is what differentiates a hot tub from a mere bath tub. Water gets channelled from a pump and goes into the tub through these jets. Jets are hydrotherapy for hot tub users as they get to enjoy a massage just by sitting in the water.
