These 'VL' panels have more buttons, larger and in some cases as programmable, 'D' on the panel stands for 'Deluxe' (programmable).
The easiest way to find out which model of panel you require for your spa is to look on the underside and get the code, then to fine tune compare the overlay sticker on the top to make sure the buttons are labeled correctly and are in the same location as your panel.
