Hot Tub Pump Made By Balboa

The Balboa Niagara Pump  can be used as a direct replacement as well as a upgrade for 56 frame pumps that have height restrictions, it comprises of a Simel motor (made in Italy) and a Niagara Wet End.

If you have an Ultimax pump with a Simel motor and Vico (Sta Rite) wet end then this is a direct replacment and swaps over easily.

The pump is easily recognisable due to the 2 capacitor housings being mounted either side of the motor in a saddle bag style.

Their are 2 hp sizes currently available 2hp (this one) and 3hp in a 2 speed option. (please see the images and specification to get the correct hp).

Note when fitting the wet end can be rotated to embrace plumbing that comes in from the side.

Fits 2" plumbing unions (6.8cm O/D)

Includes 2.5m 4 core cable with 4 pin Amp Connector fitted

Getting the same replacement pump
Sunday, 21 June 2015  |

Was a bit concerned about the part numbers being different, but Hot tub diy confirmed this was a direct replacement, although in picture the wet end had a nipple on inlet & outlet that mine did not, but went ahead and ordered.Arrived next day and thankfully the nipples were not drilled through (just there in case you needed to connect to one and drill through) Fitting was a slight difference and had to loosen control box to make sure mating faces were lined up snug on both inlet & outlet and then re-fixed control box (was only about 6/7mm difference and tbh could have been because was a month pump was out of spa and shrunk??) Refilled spa and was all ok...no leaks.
Thanks Hottubdiy for a pain free order/delivery and product, at a very reasonable cost.
